"Caution - Do not Operate" Tags
Contractors must provide and use such tags where the servicing or repair of hazardous equipment is being undertaken. Tags must be attached to the operating controls of the equipment concerned and the contractor must effectively ‘lock out’ the power source to the equipment.
Electrical Work
Electrical work other than lamp replacement must only be undertaken by Registered Electricians and comply with the respective Regulations. Compliance Certificates must be provided.
All electrical equipment and leads used in our premises must be tagged indicating they have been tested and passed as safe to use in accordance with AS/NZS 3760.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency, the contractor's employees must follow the directions of our staff to ensure their own safety and that of our staff and equipment. All personnel are to muster in the designated assembly area. The contractor must report to the site manager or our nominated staff member and notify them immediately if any of the contractor's employees are unaccounted for.

Working at Height
If work at height is to be undertaken, the contractor must provide safe means of access. This may include:
The contractor must discuss any access issues with the site manager first if there are concerns about safety.
Hot Work Permits
No welding/burning or grinding is permitted to take place within any building without the issue of a “Hot Work” permit issued by our site manager.
Housekeeping
A high standard of housekeeping is required. Accumulation of rubbish (especially combustible materials) is unacceptable and appropriate rubbish bins are to be provided by the Contractor.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Contractors are to provide and use the correct combination of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, eye protection, respiratory equipment, earmuffs, safety helmets and protective footwear for all hazardous work activities.
Powder Actuated Fastening Tools
Such tools may only be operated by workers holding a current “Certificate of Competence” in their name, issued under the regulations. “Caution” signs must be erected where such tools are in use.
Underground Services
Digging trenches or pits is not permitted without approval from the site manager to ensure that no underground services are disturbed. The safety standards in the Worksafe NZ “Guide for Safety with Underground Services” must be followed.
